FAQ

Short answers to the questions entrants ask most.

Can I submit my own architecture?

No. Every submission is the weights of vector_v1.1, so a duel compares training, not code. A new architecture would be announced in advance as a new contract version, never changed under running duels. The network is drawn on The model.

What does my policy see?

One demonstration of the task from another scene (three camera streams and both arms' poses), then the live cameras and poses at every step. Nothing else: not the task's name, the scene seed or the success condition.

What does it return?

A chunk of 16 end-effector targets for both arms; the first 12 are executed before the next prediction.

Can I train on anything I like?

Yes. The data, the training and the normalisation statistics stored in the weights are yours. Training on the public simulator is the intended way to compete; the scenes a duel plays are dealt after you commit, from seeds above the range reserved for training and evaluation.

Why did my submission not take the crown when its score was higher?

It has to clear the king's score by +3.0 pts, not just match or edge past it: a lead smaller than the margin leaves the crown where it is.

Can my hotkey submit again?

No. Each hotkey makes one submission: once a commitment of yours is in a validator's queue, anything else the hotkey commits is refused, whatever became of the first, duelled or not, won, lost, refused or dropped. A commitment that does not parse uses nothing up. See What you submit.

What happens when the benchmark fails on a unit?

The unit is void for both sides and scored for neither. A duel with more than 20% of its units void is not published and moves nothing, and the challenger's submission is spent.

What if my repository goes down while I hold the crown?

The king's repository is looked up before every queue step. If the Hub does not show it, or does not answer, the king is vacated: its place among the champions stays and its share is burned, and the next entry takes the empty throne. Keep the repository public for as long as you are king.

Can I see what my model did?

Yes. Every duel is published with each unit's outcome and three clips: the demonstration and both rollouts.
